Native culture and art fourished in Central America, hundreds of years before the arrival of European explorers and settlers in the 15th and 16th centuries.  Artisans created decorative yet functional art, including pots such as this which were often used for heating chocolate.  It is believed that the size of a pot reflected the size of the family that owned it.

Following the lead of ancient artisans, I create each of my pots by hand, without molds, so that each finished work is unique.
